TASTING NOTE: 

Ruby with a nose of dark ripe fruits, spice and wild herbs. Fruity on the front of the palate , followed by notes of chocolate, coffee, eucalyptus and licorice. Good tannins on the mid pallet with well balanced acidity.

Pair with red meats, roasts and cheese.

 

WINEMAKER'S NOTE: 

•40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot

•Small yield 30 hl/ha; 2 vines = 1 bottle

•Fermented with wild yeast

•3 weeks maceration

•12 months in seasoned barriques

•Organic and vegan production

•100 cases made

•Min. 15 years cellaring potential

 

TERROIR:

The vines grow on the slopes of the Weinolsheimer Kehr vineyard. Sandy and lime marl soil types create red wines with a fine structure, density and intense dark fruit and spicy flavors.
