2013 Essenheimer Limestone
Ruby with a truly Burgundian nose of forest floor and hints of smoke. On the palate it presents itself deep, intense and multi-layered with wet leaves, earth, fresh, dark ripe cherries, licorice, ginger, nutmeg and pepper as well as eucalyptus notes. Good tannins and a long and harmonious finish.
Pairs well with red meats, roasts and hard cheese.
