This Dornfelder is an unexpected and rare find as far as German, fine, red wines go in the US. It is made from organic grapes, in small quantities. 400 cases produced.
This wine has a deep, ruby color and an intense bouquet of ripe, black cherries and herbaceous notes with hints of juniper, rose petals and licorice. Rich and full in body, complex, with a good structure and balance, soft, harmonious tannins. Pairs well with steak, smoked duck breast, full-flavored roasts, game or cheese.
•Best served at 60-63°F
